Our Island Story, H.E. Marshall - Chapter 1

"The Stories of Albion and Brutus"

"Long, long ago, before even the days of King Arthur, there was an island in the western sea, which was called Albion. It was a beautiful land, full of deep forests and flowery meadows, and inhabited by giants. The story goes that Brutus, a descendant of the Trojan hero Aeneas, sailed to this island with his followers after many adventures. Upon arriving, Brutus defeated the giants, took possession of the land, and named it Britain, after himself. Thus, the island of Albion became the land of the Britons."
